here is form for the photographer in the mix of extremes in the Sierras.
In my work I tend to avoid the grandiose, although there is the occasional shot
of a faraway mountain range.
I find I generally want something more in line with my own puny, human scale,
something at ground level, that I can approach and investigate and even touch.
I don't need to be awed to take a photograph (though I often am), I need to be moved, by shape and form, color, texture – all of that art school stuff – that exists in such abundance in the Sierras.
